On October 11, 2023, the Conference "Reflections on Compulsory Military Service", at Agostinho da Silva Auditorium, invited experts to discuss this important topic. Sérgio Vieira da Silva and José António Carochinho were the organizers and hosts of the event.
Throughout the event, the participants presented arguments around topics such as the obligation, relevance and timeliness of the Military Service, as well as the question of citizenship and the possible creation of a Single European Army.
