April, 2025

The Universidade Lusófona will host an event titled "Legislativas 2025: Scenarios, Strategies, and Communication" on April 28 at 2:00 PM, at the Professor José Araújo Auditorium, Centro Universitário de Lisboa. Organized by the Master’s in Political Communication and the Bachelor’s in Political Science and International Relations, the initiative aims to explore the political and media dynamics shaping Portugal’s upcoming legislative elections.

The conference will open with remarks from Jorge Botelho Moniz (Universidade Lusófona) and be moderated by Sílvia Mangerona (Universidade Lusófona).

At 2:15 PM, a keynote session will be delivered by Carla Moita, political editor at TVI/CNN Portugal, who will join Sara Pina (Universidade Lusófona) to discuss electoral strategies and media framing in contemporary political campaigns.

The program will continue with a Q&A session at 3:15 PM, providing an opportunity for students and attendees to engage directly with the speakers. The event will close at 3:45 PM with the final remarks of Susana Nina, Universidade Lusófona.

This event is part of a series of academic activities that encourage political engagement and analytical thinking among students and scholars. It also reflects Lusófona’s commitment to promoting civic awareness and informed public discourse in advance of national elections.
