Dr Sabrina Medeiros, a researcher from the LusoGlobe, was at the International Studies Association Congress (ISA) held in Montreal between March 13th and 17th, 2023.
Her participation took place in a round table on Professional Military Education, as a discussant in a panel on insecurity in Latin America, and with the presentation of an article in the submission phase about the classification of non-traditional military missions and their humanitarian character.
Within the Conference, she participated as a speaker at the Wargaming Workshop, which included researchers by invitation, from Stanford University, Berkeley U., St Andrews U., MIT, Brunel U., Kings College London, RAND Institute, and Oklahoma U. (Prof. John Emery as the lead), among others. The workshop is promising and formed a collaborative network led by an MIT list through Prof. Erik Lin-Greenberg, who invited her to present the work at the newly opened wargaming studies centre.
Sabrina Medeiros presented the AJAPT method and software developed in partnership with researchers Cintiene Mendes (Brazilian Defense College) and Ana Luiza Paiva (Brazilian Army Command and Staff College).
