Lisbon, September 11, 2024 — Professor Vinícius Vieira, Associate Professor of Economics and International Relations at Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado (FAAP), PhD in IR from Oxford University, and secretary of the International Political Science Association's (IPSA) Research Committee on International Political Economy, delivered an insightful lecture at the University of Lusófona, Lisbon, as part of the LusoGlobe – Lusófona Centre on Global Challenges series.
Titled “Geopolitics and Shaping Nations and Markets: Identity Capital, Trade, and the Populist Rage,” Professor Vieira's presentation explored the intricate relationships between national identity, economic structures, and the rise of populism in modern geopolitics.
