José António Baião Carochinho. It is natural from Beringel, Beja. He completed his PhD in Psychology (of Organizations) in 2009, (defended in January 2010) at the University of Santiago de Compostela, having obtained the maximum classification of “sobresaliente cum laudo” unanimously. He has a master’s degree in Organizational Behavior from ISCTE (top classification of Very Good), a postgraduate degree in Social Psychology (ISCTE) and a degree in Social and Organizational Psychology from ISPA. He has published several articles in specialized magazines. He has 3 published books and 5 chapters in scientific books. He has teaching experience in several private and public universities in Portugal and Angola. It has a wide range of areas in terms of interests, the main ones being the following: a) Social Psychology, Psychology of Work and Organizations (work, values, functions and meaning of work, climate and organizational culture, paradigms of satisfaction and motivation in work, psychological contracts, organizational commitment, socio-organizational perceptions of justice), Positive Psychology (in particular positive psychological capital), change and change management b) Human Resources Management, Recruitment and Selection, Organizational Diagnosis, Psychological Assessment, Psychometrics and c) Research Methodologies and Data Analysis and Processing questions d) Economic and Consumer Psychology e) Security issues: Perception of Risk, Deviant Behaviors and Urban Security, CPTED Strategies (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design) Mass behaviour f) More recently, he has become interested in hot topics in Psychology (smartphone addiction, nomophobia, technostress, stalking, cyberbullying, stress, burnout and coping strategies, mobbing) or from the field of political science (non-partisan local government movements; causes of abstention in young people, among others). He was a researcher at COMEGI and CICPRIS and an independent consultant in Human Resources and Organizational Behavior and Analysis and Data Processing.
