Next: 75th anniversary - IPSA 2024 in Lisbon

To celebrate its 75th anniversary in 2024, IPSA is organizing an international conference in partnership with the Gulbenkian Foundation and in collaboration with the Portuguese Political Science Association (APCP) on the theme Democratization and Autocratization from 11-13 September 2024.

Permanent Seminar on Islamic Studies (2024)

From May 2024 until December 2024, the fifth edition of the Permanent Seminar on Islamic Studies will be held at Universidade Lusófona, coordinated by Fabrizio Boscaglia. This cycle of events consists of scientific lectures on Islam and Islamic civilisation, given by Portuguese and international experts, in Portuguese and English.

Upcoming Events

October, TBD -  Event: Scenario Planning and Tech Futures. Claudio Correa (Visiting Professor BNWC) and  João Resende Santos (Fullbright Visiting Fellow, Bentley University). 

December, 15th to 19th - Wargaming week. Workshop on wargaming and scenarios with the GIRI-hub researchers and the participation of Dr Ana Paiva (ECEME). GIRI-hub participation in the IDN Mediation Simulation and report on the project dedicated to the Education Referential for the Security, Defense, and Peace,  as part of the Lusófona-IDN agreement.

The Permanent Seminar of Islamic Studies is a cycle of online lectures on themes and figures of Islam and Islamic civilisation, organised in the context of the scientific area of Science of Religions at Lusófona University, coordinated by Fabrizio Boscaglia.
