Completed her PhD in Social Work in 2016 from ISCTE-University Institute of Lisbon, a Master’s Degree in Human Resources Development Policies in 2006 from ISCTE-University Institute of Lisbon and a Degree in Sociology in 1995 from ISCTE-University Institute of Lisbon. Researcher at the LusoGlobe Research Center – Lusófona Centre on Global Challenges, and collaborator at the Center for Research and Studies in Sociology. Associate Professor at the Lusófona University, where also works as Director of the Master’s Degree in Social Work and Social Policy, Coordinator for International Mobility (ISS-ULusófona), Member of the University Council, Member of the Scientific Councils of the Institute of Social Work and ILIND, among others. Published and co-authored several books on employment and unemployment issues, as well as book chapters and scientific articles on these topics, employment and ageing policies, urban regeneration and local development, intervention with children and young people at risk, professional skills and research and training in Social Work. Also a member of the Editorial Board and a reviewer for various national and international scientific journals.
