Adriano Lauro

PhD in Administration from COPPEAD-UFRJ, Course in Maritime Policy and Strategy from the Brazilian Naval War College, Master's degree in Production Engineering from the Fluminense Federal University, and a postgraduate degree in Operational Research from COPPE-UFRJ. He holds an MBA in Business Management and an MBA in International Management, both from COPPEAD-UFRJ, in addition to career courses taken in the Brazilian Navy (Advanced Course and Staff Course for Senior Officers). His higher education was at the Naval Academy, specializing in Mechanics.

He has experience in planning, strategic planning, prospective scenarios, decision support, games, and simulation, with an emphasis on gaming. A senior officer in the Reserve of the Brazilian Navy, he commanded a Marine Infantry Battalion and participated in three United Nations missions (Angola and two in Haiti), serving as the Commander of the Marine Task Force in Haiti in 2010. He has taken part in various military exercises with allied nations.

Among his roles, he has served as logistics officer for the Brazilian Battalion (BRABAT) at the UN mission in Angola, Head of the Didactic Games Center (CIASC), and professor at the War Games Center at the Naval War College. In higher education, he was an Academic Coordinator for undergraduate programs in Information Systems and Engineering.

Currently, he is a professor in the Graduate Program in Maritime Studies and the Maritime Policy and Strategy Course at the Brazilian Naval War College, teaching in the fields of Production Engineering and Administration
