Carmen Jordá Sanz

PhD in Law, Government and Public Policy from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM). She also holds a dual bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Law from UAM, and postgraduate degrees including a Master’s in Criminology and Juvenile Delinquency (University of Castilla–La Mancha), a Master’s in Criminal Analysis and Investigation (Institute of Forensic and Security Sciences – ICFS-UAM), and a Master’s in Digital Evidence and Cybercrime (National Centre of Excellence in Cybersecurity – CNEC-UAM).

She has experience in organized crime, corporate crime, cybercrime, strategic foresight, digital evidence, and the societal impact of artificial intelligence. She has participated in multiple national and European projects in the fields of criminology, security, and digital transformation. Her roles have included research positions at ICFS-UAM, project coordination with OBERAXE and Red.es, and researcher in European Commission-funded initiatives such as FakeCare, CEREU, MANDOLA, and the Private Corruption Barometer.

Among her positions, she has served as Director of the Criminology and Security Department at Universidad Camilo José Cela since 2020, and Manager of the Intelligence and Foresight Office at Prosegur Research. She was also a European research fellow at ICFS-UAM and has collaborated with institutions such as the Guardia Civil and the IUISI-UNED.

She teaches in undergraduate and postgraduate criminology and security programs. She has completed the OECD-CERI programme on Teaching, Learning and Assessing Creativity and Critical Thinking in Education (2022) and the Complex Problem Solving programme at UNIR (2022), and has received training from the UNODC Civil Society Unit on stakeholder engagement for the implementation of the UN Convention against Transnational Organized Crime. She has also been recognized by Forbes as one of the 40 leading foresight professionals in Spain and is CCS-S certified in Security Awareness by the Spanish Cybersecurity Certification Agency.
