On March 24th, the LusoGlobe – Lusófona Center on Global Challenges – hosted Dr. Fernanda Corrêa, General Coordinator of the Department of Science, Technology, and Innovation at the Brazilian Ministry of Defense (MD/SEPROD/SG), for a special guest lecture.
As part of the International Political Economy course, Dr. Corrêa presented insights from her postdoctoral research at the Military Institute of Engineering (IME), focused on “Prospective Research on Quantum Biosensors for Defense.”Her talk explored the intersection of quantum technologies, strategic security, and global economic trends, highlighting the increasing role of scientific innovation in defense policy.
The session was joined by Adriano Lauro and Sabrina Medeiros, who both accompanied the discussion and contributed to the exchange.
