Universidade Lusófona, in collaboration with Edições Sílabo, was held the launch event for José Filipe Pinto's latest book, A Europa numa Encruzilhada: Novos Movimentos Sociais – Da diversidade aos desafios e oportunidades (Europe at a Crossroads: New Social Movements – From Diversity to Challenges and Opportunities). The event was set for November 18, at 5:00 p.m., in the Agostinho da Silva Auditorium.

The Portuguese national television network RT2 broadcast a report on the archaeological site ‘Alto da Vigia’ (Colares, Sintra), where the remains of a medieval Ribāṭ exist. This is a fortification and/or a centre for spiritual meetings and retreats in the context of Islam, especially Sufi mysticism.
