On May 16, LusoGlobe held the seminar Mapping Global Challenges: Knowledge and Action in the spotlight. This event aimed to share the research carried out within the scope of UI&D, contributing to a deeper understanding of contemporary global challenges and possible forms of action in their context. This initiative was part of the scientific activities organized annually by LusoGlobe to disseminate the work of its researchers and foster interdisciplinary dialogue.

March 24th, the LusoGlobe – Lusófona Center on Global Challenges – hosted Dr. Fernanda Corrêa, General Coordinator of the Department of Science, Technology, and Innovation at the Brazilian Ministry of Defense (MD/SEPROD/SG), for a special guest lecture.

The Zolberg Institute's Race & Mobility Working Group, in collaboration with the History Department and the Janey Program in Latin American Studies at The New School, presented the launch of the new series Cambridge Elements in the History and Politics of Fascism.

On Thursday, March 27, at 6:00 PM, the launch of Politics in Contemporary Portugal: Parties and the Consolidation of Democracy took place at Associação 25 de Abril, a historic venue for discussions on democracy and political transformation in Portugal. The event was organized by the Commission Commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the April 25 Revolution, in partnership with publishing house Tinta-da-China.

Lisbon, April 2025 – The LusoGlobe Centre at Universidade Lusófona, in collaboration with the Universidade Aberta and other key institutions, was set to host the International Seminar on Global Studies on April 7, 2025. As part of the Dialogue Inter-Religious Series, this event explored the urgencies and challenges of inter-religious dialogue in shaping a more human-centered globalization.

Universidade Lusófona has confirmed that Professor Sergio Andrés Cabello will be a visiting researcher from May 12 to 16, 2025.
