2025 Congress of the Portuguese Political Science Association (APCP)

The XII Congress of the Portuguese Political Science Association (APCP) took place in March 2025 at ISCTE – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (ISCTE-IUL), bringing together scholars and students from across the field. The event, recognized as a key academic forum for political science professionals and researchers, featured discussions on Portuguese society and politics, European studies, comparative politics, governance and local politics, public administration and policies, international relations, and political theory.

Next: 75th anniversary - IPSA 2024 in Lisbon

To celebrate its 75th anniversary in 2024, IPSA organized an international conference in partnership with the Gulbenkian Foundation and in collaboration with the Portuguese Political Science Association (APCP) on the theme Democratization and Autocratization from 11-13 September 2024. This event was held at the Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisbon, Portugal, and is expected to draw over 300 participants (scholars, international organizations, government representatives, associations, and NGOs).
