The Manual de Estudios Latinoamericanos (Handbook of Latin American Studies), recently published by Editorial Tirant Lo Blanch, brings together leading Latin American scholars to offer a comprehensive overview of contemporary research on the region’s societies, politics, and cultures.

On November 4, 2025, Fátima Gameiro delivered a presentation titled “Emotional Intelligence, Resilience, and Stress Recovery” in the thematic area “Well-being at Work as a Key to Life Balance.” The presentation was part of the VIII Reflection Days: Silences that Speak – Pathways of Self-Care for Social Workers, organized by the Centro Paroquial Nossa Senhora de Porto de Salvo in collaboration with the Municipality of Oeiras.

On October 29, 2025, an online presentation was delivered in the thematic area “Social Work, Ageing, and Support Networks”, entitled “Loneliness and Violence in the Ageing Process (RiViS 65+)” (team: Fátima Gameiro, Beatriz Rosa, Paula Ferreira, Ana Paula Garcia, and Carlos Poiares), within the scope of the Research Seminar in Social Work, organized by the Lusófona University - Porto University Center.

Within the scope of the VIII International Congress on Human Rights and Public Policies, organized by the University of Salamanca at the Faculty of Law of Salamanca, two communications were presented on October 23, 2025: one in the thematic area “Ageing and Human Rights”, entitled “When Time Turns into Silence: Loneliness in Older People” (team: Fátima Gameiro, Beatriz Rosa, Paula Ferreira, Ana Paula Garcia and Carlos Poiares); and another in the thematic area “Public Policies and the Protection of Childhood and Adolescence”, entitled “Spaces of Imagination – Virtual Reality and Art in Inclusive Educational Contexts: ReViOP” (team: Ana Pedro, Fátima Gameiro, Paula Ferreira, Ana Paula Garcia, Jacqueline Marques, Nélson Ramalho and Hélia Bracons).
